Complete insect based recipe for adult dogs
The world urgently needs a sustainable solution to the protein challenge faced by both the human and pet food chains. Insects require less land resources, emit fewer greenhouse gases and have a much smaller water demand than livestock and animal substitutes such as corn and soya. They are high in protein and low in saturated fats, infact insects have double the protein of beef, 15% more iron than spinach and as much B15 as salmon.
Quinoa, at 11.5%, is an ancient grain that is also a great protein source and provides an array of essential amino acids, however does not have the same intollerance affects as normal grains.
